CCP-NC and Data Protection

At STFC (being a Council under, and part of, United Kingdom Research and Innovation), we intend to make sure that we maintain the UK as a world-leader in science and technology research - integral to this is our commitment to protecting and safeguarding your data privacy.

It is part of STFC’s public purpose to provide services such as the CCP-NC Database . In order to effectively provide that service to you, we need to collect information about you and may need to contact you from time to time with regards to its provision.

STFC considers it to be in its legitimate interest to enable anyone who has signed up to access the CCP-NC Database service that it should be able to efficiently manage the provision and ongoing review and monitoring of that service for their benefit. STFC therefore requests and securely holds the data which it requires for these purposes. Please ensure that, for so long as you are accessing the CCP-NC Database service, the information that you have provided to us is kept up to date.

CCP-NC Database - Personal Information Collected

The CCP-NC Database uses the following information obtained from your authentication through your Orcid ID:

This information is used to associate the origin of database entries, and as such will be visible to other users of the service. To maintain the integrity of the information provided in the database, a source is always required. See the Privacy Policy Orcid service for more information on how your personal information is managed.

Removal of personal information

Please contact xxxxx@stfc.ac.uk should you wish for your personal information to be removed. Please note that any associated data entries will also need to be removed as part of this process. We do not use the information provided for any other purposes, and will not share your information with anyone.
