The conference

SMARTER4 is the latest in a series of meetings on resolving structural questions by the combined use of NMR, diffraction and computation. The format of and scale of meeting is designed to encourage cross-fertilisation across subject boundaries, with keynote speakers chosen to reflect the diversity of approaches required to solve complex structural problems, such as obtaining crystal structures from powdered samples or understanding disordered systems.

Keynote Speakers

  • Brad Chmelka (UCSB)
  • Lyndon Emsley (ENS Lyon)
  • John Evans (Durham)
  • Andrew Goodwin (Univ. Oxford)
  • Robert Hanson (St. Olaf College)
  • Ute Kolb (Univ. Mainz)
